Krieger Lab making cancer more predictable

We are a computational group at Charité Berlin studying how tumours are organised, evolve, and respond to treatment. We combine spatial and single-cell technologies, computational pathology, and machine learning to connect molecular and cellular states with tissue morphology. Our goal is to determine which information is needed to make better clinical decisions for cancer patients.

Our Research

We develop interpretable machine-learning methods to predict molecular states from tissue images and understand which morphological features drive these predictions. We apply these and other computational approaches to study tumour heterogeneity, evolution, and treatment response in patient samples, and how they relate to clinical outcomes.
